Well, I finally assembled all of the pieces and now have my 257 wby mag accumark together with a 3.5 x 10 zeiss conquest. After shooting many loads with varying col's, I have now arrived on a load. All loads shot with tsx's and accubonds were accurate. All were hovering in the 1 to 1.25" area, but I knew the gun was better than that. Yesterday one of my loads shot .5" at 100 and I thought that was it but I had one more. This load shot 3 shots @ 100 into .194. My buddy that was with me thought it was a fluke and I sort of did too. Well, today I loaded some more(6 this time) and my 100 yard group was .319". @ 200 the other three went just over an inch at 1.104. This gun is accurate as I really had no bad loads tested. My majic load is IMR 7828 71.2 grs. 110 nab 3.250col. I think that should put me in the 3500 fps range. I haven't put it on the clock yet. I can't wait to shoot this load at 3 and 4 hundred yards. Reloader 22 also shot well too as that went in the .5" range with tsx's and nab's.

Yep, Bee's do shoot, everyone of mine have been under and inch with my handload. Great shooting and I am happy for you but not surprised. :)

Thanks bullet, it was your words of wisdom that sold me on the weatherby. I was quite surprised to get this kind of accuracy out of a store bought gun. Weatherby sure puts out a fine product. I like everything about it and always wanted one. I'm sorry I waited so long to finally get it.

Congratulations on your 257 Wby and its load development.
Sounds like you found the right load. She is a shooter for sure.
Let us know how you shoot at 300-400 yds.

Congrats on the 257 Bee. Glad it shoots for you!

My only complaint with my bee is that the trigger has a very little creep and that drives me crazy when trying to group shoot. Does anyone of you know how to correct this or does it have to go to a gunsmith?

Weatherby says you should take it to a smith, but the adjustment screw for sear engagement is visible through the bolt raceway just behind the rear bridge of the action, down in a hole, sort of 'above' where the trigger is. If you've never done trigger work, take it somewhere. If you're comfortable with it, you can try adjusting it on your own. I'm not responsible for your actions in doing so, by the way.

This ought to be an interesting place for you to go to on occasion now that you are a Weatherby owner. By the way, great choice of firearm and cartridge.

Thanks bullet, in fact that is where I got a lot of my load data(along with my books) to develop my loads. There is plenty interesting reading there from weatherby owners.
