First of all, ...hat off to You !
I'd like to pull your jackets and hear your voices on which HUNTING bullet (Brand/type/weight) in your experience has performed the best.
I'd appreciate if you could report.
Please, also indicate what caliber - barrel length - twist rate you are shooting this bullets.

So far, my experience's as follows:

6,5x57R Caliber - 24" barrel - 1-8" twist

100 grs. NOSLER BT A little too short for my rifle's long throat
108 grs. RWS KS Best grouping
120 grs. NOSLER BT Better than BT 100 - Good grouping
129 grs. HORNADT SP Interlock Good grouping - Drops more @ Long range

Thank you in advance.

I have a Win M70 in 6.5X55 , twist is I believe 1 in 8"
So far, the Nosler 140 grain Partition shoots sub MOA.
The 140 grain Hornady Interlock shoots into 1/2 MOA on a good day!
I am using 46.5 grains RL22 with a velocity of 2650fps, using Lapua brass.
Oh yes, the barrel length is 22 inches-
I have not killed any game animals with this one yet.
I have heard that the 140 grain Partition does not expand well at 6.5X55 velocities?

I am using the 120 g rBT in my 6.5 JDJ T/C Contender.
I will try to take a WT Deer with this combo later this fall.

Ah, POP! That hurts!
I have a supergrade in 25-06, I might get it rechambered to 264 win, I aint a big 25-06 fan.

Man that gun shot just plain nuts!
1/2" at 100 all day long with 125 Nosler PT at 3350 or so.
Problem was it was too nice/pretty to hunt with. I just sold it to a buddy who is a Winchester/264 mag nut! Have no idea what it looks like now but he is putting to use and that was its destiny..to get used.

I know what you mean about the too nice/pretty to hunt with paradox!
I feel the same way about that Supergrade, I have not put a shot though her, it is like new.
One of these days, I will get out and shoot it, but I really would like to have it rechambered to a 264 or even 338 winny! SWEET

I looked up the 6.5STW in the 10th edition of CARTRIDGES OF THE WORLD, could not find it. Then I did a web search. Sheesh, not much good to say about that cartridge or the inventor...
Sounds like it eats barrels for breakfast!
