Hi folks new here!!

Been a user of Nosler reloading components for years, and I just purchased some ABLR 30 cal 168gr projectiles and looking through my Nosler reloading manual 8th edition I do not see any dope on these for a 308 win. I tried searching the Nosler commercial site and couldn't find it there either. I searched the forum and didn't find it here either (but I may have did a horrible search)

Does the dope exists on these projectiles?

Cheers

You'll have to calculate it. I like the Hornady 4d free ballistics calculator. You'll need your BC, Velocity and a few other variables.

Remember, calculated dope (or published, which is generally calculated) is horseshoes and hand grenades. It'll get you close, but live rounds at range are needed to confirm your rifle and conditions.

Welcome to the forum. Stick around, you'll learn lots.

I meant the load data for starting loads to max, etc, I'm not worried about ballistic data till after I get a load to patterned. Thanks for the reply

I guess I can use the data for an 168 AB in the 8th edition and start from there, it's just the ABLR projectile is so different in dimension from the "normal" AB

I asked Nosler about this back in June and they said to use the data for the 168 Custom Competition. Hope this helps.

I never worry about not having data for a specific bullet in the manuals or online data. I just check the weight of the specific bullet I am planning to use and compare it to other bullets of the same weight and I check between 3 to 5 different manuals and online data and start at between minimum and the middle charges and work up.
