I am going to check out a rifle tonight and 99% sure I’m going to buy it. It is an Eliseo RTS chassis, jewel bottom safety trigger, two AICS magazines and a trued and sleeved Remington 700P LTR barreled action. All the work was done by a local well known smith with a great reputation. The only downside is its a 1-12 barrel and I’m not sure if it will stabilize 175s. Other than that I think this should be an excellent setup for some long range paper and steel punching. Any of you guys have any experience with these tube guns? We built one a few years back for a buddy of mine and it has proven to be a great shooter.

I understand that Eliseo's setup is very good. I have little experience with the tube guns, but wow, they are doing GREAT in competition!

The 1:12 twist barrel should do fine with the 175's, mine certainly has. Even heaver.

Regards, Guy

I priced the parts out and looks like it is a great deal at $1500 dollars. It certainly looks like it should be a shooter.

BTW, the 155 gr Nosler Competition bullets hold up to 1,000 yard shooting rather well, just in case it doesn't like the 175's. I was able to shoot 175's well though, even from a 1:13 twist .308 barrel.

I'll have to check that out. I have shot mostly 168 and 175 out of my 10 twisted lr308, it likes the 175s best.

I picked it up, it's a good looking rifle. More of a gray than the brown it looks in the picture. I'll probably have it ceracoated if it shoots like I hope it does.

Berger shows up to 185's will stabilize with a 12" twist and I've shot 190's in a couple of my 12 twist guns without issues.

I had a 1:12 .308. It would do OK with 180grs but the rifle had a real preference for 165s.

I'm intrigued by the various tube and chassis guns but most are too heavy for what I'd normally want to do.

This isn't too bad, I'm gonna guess it's around 8-8.5 pounds, probably go 11-12 with glass on it

This is my Elisio R-1 F built last year with a Pierce Engineering action. Gary and John Pierce collaborated on an action for the Elisio chassis. Mine is a single shot that is used for F-class matches and p-dog towns (6 BRX). The chassis is well thought out and gives you multiple options for cant and LOP.

Sorry about the crappy picture:

I'm in desperate need of bigger glass so I can try this thing out. I might pull my trijicon off the lr308 for now. Kind of leaning either Nightforce SHV or vortex PST

Man you guys are making me drool over those things! It will be interesting to see some targets. Keep us posted!

Got the super sniper mounted up in some freedom reaper dnz rings. First impressions are really good. Appears bright and clear and love the mrad reticle. Can't wait to get it out and shoot it.
