Two very good loads

I have two very good loads for my 7mm-08. The 140gr Nosler AccuBond that averages .269" in group size when I am doing my part and moves between 2798 and 2802fps on average depending on the day and I am at the range and this is with W760, Nosler brass and Fed 210 primers and it will not even get close to this if I use Rem or Win brass. Also, if I drive the AccuBond any faster I loose accuacy.

Now the other load is with the 139gr Hornady Interbond that averages .387" in size when I am doing my part and moves between 2858-2874fps on average depending on the day I am at the range and this is with W760, Nosler brass and Fed 210 primers and it will not get close to this accuracy with Rem or Win brass. I can drive it a little faster and the accuacy is still under 1/2 inch.

I have on hand 150 of the Interbonds because a friend sent me 200 of them. I am almost out of the Accubonds. With my LR Duplex FX II Leupold 6x36mm the Interbond matches up much better at the velocities I can drive it and still maintain below 1/2 accuracy. I have tried (as many of you know I don't leave to many rock I don't turn over) Other powders and combination of brass and primers trying to find a load that my rifle would allow me to drive the AccuBond faster and still have good accuracy. Well, I haven't found it and have done enough work with and will not put my rifle through anymore load work.

So as much as I want to use the AccuBond, I am resigned out of pragmatic reasons to use the Interbond for this up coming falls hunts on deer and like game.

Nothing wrong with either load. Load up them IB's and start killing stuff...... other than your rifle's throat!

You know FOTIS, really, I was truly thinking the same thing!!!!!

Mike we love you man, but you have it even worse than most of the rest of us. I think I tread close on your heels sometimes though! :p As much as I hate to say they aren't Noslers, but those you have loaded will work just fine for you. Go hunt some stuff mister and don't worry about hitting that silver off-colored hair on the side of your buck as it glistens in the sun at 140 yards. Hit him within one-half an inch of that and I think you will be fine. Remember those pictures you did for me? I love them!

Yeah, I got it bad, just keeping it under control that's what I need to do   I do believe in aim small miss small.

Mike, I think this warrants a 139 IB water jug test.. Well, might as well through the AB in there too. Lets see what comes out on top in the penetration department!

Great shooting Mike, hope you have some rifling left for the Fall!

After the water test that I will do for you next week, I will have just enough barrel to do this up coming hunting season

That's all that counts buddy! I am pretty excited to see the Interbond. The 130 Interbond in my 270WSM went just a scosh under 3400 in my 270WSM and really hammered stuff.. i never found one though, and never a fragment, so my initial thoughts are that it is tough.

I think you need to work more to get your velocity standard deviations down.

Kidding!

That's some fantastic shooting. I consider myself a 0.75 inch shooter, as those are the best consistent groups I've ever shot. You, sir, are showing some fine skill.

As for the Hornady bullets, I believe Hornady makes some fine components. I would have no issue using an Interlock. Of course I prefer the AccuBond, but only because I'm brand loyal to Nosler. When I don't have a Nosler loaded, it's something from a green or red box.

I almost don't like shooting Hornady Interlocks also. They shoot so well I don't want to see the results, as I know I'm not going hunting with them anyway.
