Unblooded Rifles

Have you ever bought a set of dies, only to find that it was for a calibre you didn't have? Undoubtedly, if this happened to you, you bought a rifle so you could load ammunition with the dies, not wanting them to be useless on your reloading shelf.

Have you ever bought a bag of brass at a gun show, knowing full well that you didn't have a rifle in that calibre? The purchase necessitated a purchase of an appropriate rifle so you could utilise the bargain you had found.

Have you ever bought a scope, only to realise that all your current rifles were scoped? The knowledge that you had an unrifled scope compelled you to seek out an appropriate rifle to attach to the scope.

If any of these things has happened to you, then you are a gunaholic--you need help. The first step is admitting that you are sick. Here at guns anonymous, we offer an easy fifteen- or sixteen-step program (depending upon room in your gun safe) to assist you. Send me all those nasty rifles that have caused you so much grief. I will store them for you, ensuring that they are not lonely, shooting them on a regular schedule--taking them for walks in the north woods and between shooting berms. I'm trained. I can help.

Hello, I'm Rich and I'm a gunaholic. :)
I've filled my gun safe, I have stock piled up on GM---M primers and Nosler bullets.

I think I'm sick and need help. :)

Hi Rich! PM me for my mailing address and ffl info. I'm here to aide you in your recognition of a need for change and help you out of your addiction. I'm more than happy to be your "Sponsor". Although, I admitedly have a soft spot for RUM.

I'm undoubtedly a gunoholic. I was notified today that my new Hawkeye in 35 Whelen came in today. It is -16 tonight, dropping to -32 by Thursday, and I need to break it in. Bear season opens in a couple of months, and I'd certainly like to have that rifle loaded and ready to make the trip to the west coast of Vancouver Island with its little brother, the Hawkeye in 358.

:?
I thought you were supposed to fix us all up! Your the only one here called DR.!

Unfortunately, I have my own addiction, and it is bad. Nevertheless, because you have raised the issue, you need only send me all your rifles. This will demonstrate your determination to be cured, and be the first step in recovery. I'll shoot what you send me, harvest some game and in general ensure that your rifle is not lonely. I'll send you a picture of me with your rifle to demonstrate that is it a contended rifle, and take it for a walk in the woods with other rifles that...

Are you listening?

JDMAG,

I think every child should be blessed with a parent who cares enough about his or her character that they teach them how to safely handle and shoot firearms, and introduce them to the joy of the shooting sports and/or the outdoors. Even my eldest daughter, who does not hunt, enjoys a box of venison roasts and steaks whenever I visit. The grandchildren all enjoy the game that "Pa" brings them.

Well, I am hoping they return the favor some day
Maybe a nice guided hunting trip for Dad some day on a mule with a soft saddle. On ground thats not too steep or rugged. Maybe a fly fishing trip with grand kids to teach a decent roll cast to. or maybe just some good stories.

Ah, the dream of every dad. May you be blessed by receiving the fulfilment of this hope.
