I've done the sense of feel thing for a while. Feeler gauges between die and shell holder...sense of feel by itself...
and I can get the bump I need but if these shell holders do what they say it should make that shoulder bump much more efficient.

I ordered a set yesterday and looking forward to trying them out.

Just curious if anyone here has any experience using these?

yes , I use them for everything . I have four sets of them . they are great . I have three different 7mm-08's and one set of dies . I just use the appropriate shellholder . I could never get a consistent shoulder bump by gapping the die away from the shellholder . using these shellholders my shoulder bump is very consistent .i write in the lid what shellholder to use .

Yes, I have a set that I use for all my 06 based cartridges. It makes it easy to get the correct bump.

I have yet to buy those Redding competition shellholders, I always have bumped them precisely at .0015' - .002". Reloaders have been happy with these shellholders. Thanks for the reminder. These helps when you have multiple rifles of the same caliber.

Yup, I use them. I started out buying one set. Now…I own four sets. I think you will like them and will need to make room for additional sets.

I’ve been using them for twenty years. Super easy to setup, start with the .010” and chamber a round until you find the perfect shell holder for just a little crush fit in your chamber. Be sure you’re testing it with the quantity you’ll be doing. 1x, 2x, etc while you’re sizing the brass.

Way better than the issues with the die not making contact with the shell holder which can be incredibly inconsistent.

Makes bumping the shoulder so easy a beginner can’t screw it up!

I bought the #1 set last week and it's great. I've used it for 6.5CM by following the instructions to get the perfect bump.

It simplifies the whole process! During sizing a case can stretch and actually grow in length if you’re not making contact with the shell holder. This eliminates that, and allows each piece of brass to be sized down as close to the same as possible.

You’ll love it! Not only that just write down what shell holder you use for each different case and each gun and you’re good to go!

I was very anxious to try these SH's out.
I checked the head space on the cases before using the new shell holders.

I raised the ram....Turned the sizing die down good and firm against the .010 shell holder.

Shell Holder #10 was all I needed.
It bumped the shoulder back .002-.003...on all of them..

they all chambered perfectly fine in this particular weapon.

Great product!!!

Nice! I had the same experience (.010) with my 6.5CM and the 6.5CM rifle my wife uses likes the next one (.008). It's kinda nice that you can just leave your die as is and change out the shellholder.

You’ll still want to loosen the lock ring, and make contact with the each different shell holder for the proper shoulder bump if you’re working with different rifles.

If you’re using the .010” and making contact with it, and change the shell holder to the .002 there’s a .008” difference of a gap between the die bottom and the shell holder.

Yep...
every chamber is different.

This particular weapon only needs the a 002-.003 bump.

I have another one that requires a .005-.006 bump

I've never ran into this . I think the difference must be in the height of the slot .

Perhaps I'm using it incorrectly or I'm missing something with the instructions but I thought you didn't need to adjust the dies after the first shell holder is set. I assumed the height of the shell holder remains (which would be in contact with the die), only that the deck is higher/lower depending on the adjustment.

you are seeing the same thing I am . I don't need to adjust my die , to keep contact between the die and shellholder regardless of what shellholder in the set I'm using .

That's what I thought, thanks. I assumed that's the purpose of this set - after the initial die setup, it's just a shell holder swap.
