Took my Vanguard out to the range for the first time yesterday and my initial reloads are showing promise.

I loaded up some 180gr Hornady BSTP over IMR4350 and she did well.

It is a .30-06

I am thinking of trying some 165gr bullets next. Maybe some ballistic tips. What other powders / bullets would you guys suggest for deer?

If you are just hunting deer with it, I think you would be hard pressed to do much better than a 165, 168 or 180gr BT. I would think the 168gr BT would be an awesome deer bullet an really maximize the performance of the 06 from near to far. Scotty
