I assume you mean relative to a bolt action. Recall that ammunition manufacturers do not make different ammunition for auto loaders and for bolt action rifles. Ergo, the velocity will be identical. This is in part because any loss of pressure to drive the piston will be negligible and will occur after the peak of pressure has already been achieved.
BAR's have a reputation of being 75-150 fps slower than their bolt counterparts with like length barrels with similar loads. Browning will acknowledge it. Whether its the semi-auto action or the barrel, who knows.
