These are scary times. The greater tragedy is that many of the politicians can't realise what they are creating. Without an understanding of what used to be called "civics," they are clueless about the consequences of their actions.

Oh I dont think there is in question about that Mike, they are completely clueless about most of it.
However in this country where 90% of all governments are run by people that have a law degree this is of course the way it is going to end up............................. to straighten out this country you would need to fire every last person in Washington and start fresh with a president that was like Harry Truman ................................ a simple farmer that knows what really makes the world go around. I think it is sooooooooooooooo far gone over here now that when you have a common child molester like Barney Frank still running the largest lending intuition in the USA it is a real clue how absolutely ridiculous this government actually is. Last week one of the directors of Lehman Bros resigned and said that NOTHING has changed since the ballouts and things are actually " a cesspool" there at the moment and worse for the public than it ever was.
People here in Maine are buying new vechiles at the moment that they cant afford and are living in homes they are so upside down in that they could NEVER get out from underneath the debt they owe. The banks own about 80% of the American public and have them on the ropes for the rest of their lives. Folks speak to me all the time about all their financial problems and it shocks me the messes some of them have gotten them selfs into.
I recently had a good friend tell me that his wife who is a credit card aholic got ahold of a card that Chase Bank [probably the crookedest bank in America] and without his knowledge activated it. Then she immediately apply ed for one in HER name. They sent it Thur and as soon as she got it she went online and did an address change to her parents address so all the bills would come to their address so he wouldn't know what was going on. She maxed out the cards $7000 line of credit in 4 months and then paid the minimun payment on it for 3 years and defaulted on the loan............. after 90 days they released it to the credit bureau that the loan had been defaulted on and it shows up on HIS credit report not hers, he immediately request full discloser and the bank sent him the paperwork and they added up all the payments she had made and it came out to $7300 including the fines. He tryed to get them to settle on it and they WOULD NOT and insisted that he start making payments and have informed him that he still owes...................>$$$$$7100$$$$$$< more to get them off his back; and that there will "still be a record of the default" on his credit report for 7 years!!!!!!!!

I have to wonder, did the NRA sell us out sometime after 1946? As the post will show, they did an article and later said "It was a hoax" and apologised for it. I don't remember the year of the apology. My point is we were told of some "rules" to take over a country. From the tone of the "rules" I would think they came from the mind of Karl Marx. I dug the "rules" article up in response to a post from someone on another site. Note how close it comes to the current Democratic party platform. Just my not very humble opinion but to a liberal is a socialist is a communist. :x It was Kruschev back in the 60's who said that Russia would never have to attack the US. It would be totally communist in ten years. He also said that there were more communists teaching in America's schools than in all of Mother Russia. Doesn't surprise me one bit. I have a good friend who was an assistant profesor at U.C. Berkeley. He finally quit that, "bed of communists". His words, not mine. Anyway here is the post I made several years ago. I'm thinking of putting it in an E-mail and calling the NRA out on this. I don't think it was a hoax considering the condition of our country today.

This took me a couple of hours to find. It is from the August, 1946 issue of the AMERICAN RIFLEMAN. I must also be honest that in a later issue, which I'm not going to try and find, they later withdraw their comments and consider it an urban legend. However, considering the current state of affairs in this country, methinks an urban legend it ain't. My comments are in parentheses.
RULES FOR REVOLUTUTION
A. Corrupt the young. Get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial, destroy their ruggedness.
(No prayer in schools. Scantily dressed rock stars such as Britney Spears. Glorified drug use.)
B. Get control of all means of publicity and thereby:
1. Get people's minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books and plays, and other trivialities.
(The talking heads on the alphabet stations constantly bashing the President. The obsession with football, baseball, basketball to the point of prempting regular programming. [Monday night football, etc.])
2. Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance.
(How about hyphenated Americans, IE, Native-Americans, African-Americans, ad nausem?)
3. Destroy the people's faith in their natural leaders by holding these latter up to ridicule, obloquoy, and comtempt.
(The massive Bush-bashing by all the forms of Media, IE, radio, TV, and the newspapers.)
4.Always preach true democracy, but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible.
(Ain't nobody ever told them we're a Republic, and not a democracy?)
5. By encouraging government extravagance, destroy it's credit, produce fear of inflation with rising prices and general discontent.
(Look at what the talking heads on the boob tube keep saying about the deficit. Nuff said?)
6. Foment unnecessary strikes in vital industries, encourage civil disorders and foster a lenient and soft attitude on the part of the government toward such disorders.
(Fortunately, there are steps the government can take to slow down or stop strikes. Civil unrest like black neighborhoods rioting are another matter. Generally, those type riots are fomented by a small cadre of of "$h!t disturbers who leave once they've got their riot started.. It is too bad the government doesn't go after those people and properly incarcerate them.)
7. By specious arguments cause the breakdown of the old moral virtues: honesty, sobriety, continence, faith in the pledged word, ruggedness.
(Hmm! How about the supposed separation of church and state? Apparently, our courts must feel that God is a four letter word with a missing letter. Honesty? Does Ken Lay and Enron ring a bell? Sobriety? There sure is a strong movement to legalize, or at least decriminalize pot. Continence I had to look up in the dictionary, but basically, it means moderation, especially in matters of sexuality. Faith in the pledged word? Remember the old saying, "A man is only as good as his word?" Ruggedness? Had to think about that one. Notice all the play in the media where all out kids are now too obese. Sounds like their being fattened up for the kill. figuratively speaking.)
C. CAUSE THE REGISTRATION OF ALL FIREARMS ON SOME PRETEXT, WITH A VIEW TO CONFISCATING THEM AND LEAVING THE POPULACE HELPLESS.
(This one is totally self explanatory.)

Read and study those "Rules for Revolution carefully and compare them with Buckshot's comments, and with what our current society is today.
As I stated earlier, the NRA later said that those rules were not valid and not for real. If that was the case, why does it mirror our society today? I did not copy the entire article, it's too long and as a two fingered typist with blind fingers, well you get my point. FWIW, those rules were discovered in Dusseldorf, Germany in 1919, according to the article.

Well if you think what has gone on in the last 4 years is absurd , just wait until they are in again this fall and have nothing to loose! They will compleate any agenda they want to and have clear sailing this time. :shock: And nothing is surer than they will take a stab at the guns this time , that is for sure. Scarey stuff for sure. I dont think Mitt can beat him but I sure as hell hope so! :roll:

I was told I think too much about the impossible,,,,,,,, with a sympathic smile by my 10th grade Social Studies teacher in "74", when I brought up several "what if this,,,,,". Some of these "what if's" are happening right now, with the better than good possiblity of more before the election.
All the domino's are in place,,, it won't take much to start them in motion. Of which would change our way of life beyond most people's imagination!

There will be civil war. I can't imagine a way out of it now without the total surrender of individual liberty...and these people will not rest until THEY, or liberty and those who love it are dead. I already know how I choose sides.

I think that the NRA withdrew that white paper this because of Political Correctness in the year 1946 with the Marshall Plan in effect and the Soviet Union still nominally being our ally.
Another American, a Russian-Jewish born, Communist named Saul Alinsky, was a professor (and US Citizen) at Univ of Chicago during that era and he was formulating his book: Rules for Radicals. Alinsky listed all of the points mentioned by PJ and also listed tactics to destroy any organized oppostion to his ideas through personal ridicule and outrageous name calling and reputation attacks before the other side has a chance to even think about why they are being attacked.
Hiliary Clinton worked for Saul Alinsky as a Community Organizer In Chicago while she was in Law School. Bill Clinton and Barrack Obama are unabashed admirers of Saul Alinsky. Barrack Obama even joined the"New Party" in 2006 in Chigago. The New Party of course is the American Socialist Party, most of whom were card carrying Communists when it suited their purpose.
When a country gets to the point where screaming about women's rights for free contraception becomes more important than having fair taxation and a representative government, we are in trouble as a nation. Under four more years of Barry the Choom and his inevitable appointments to the Supreme Court and his hidden taxation agenda and we will not even be recognizable as the USA of 1980, when Reagan became President. We will be a different country altogether.
I have three children who have advanced college degrees and have been totally brainwashed by the Liberal University Establishment and by their mother, a Public School Teacher, who was radicalized by the lesbian Dykes that she studied under for her Master's of Education at the Univ. of Utah (of all places). These children of mine are not even recognizeable reflections of me and my belief sets in the least. It is a terrible tragedy for this family that they will not even speak to me anymore because I used my perogative as their father to tell them that they were headed for personal tragedy if they pursued the political course that they were on. They have not spoken to me since I finished paying several hundred thousand dollars for all three children's private school educations!
The only people who I know that are post graduate educated and are not socialists are Christians, what a coincidence and what a tragedy for this country!
