I think I'm just about there with my Rem 700 VTR in 223. I put a 4X12 40 AO Leupold VX II on it. Also replace the stock with a Bell & Carlson Medalist.
I really like the stock and scope. I just got the stock in today. I might have a couple comments on it though.
1. The stock is really solid, and has a great finish. :grin:
2. It does feel like I added 2 lbs to the rifle. :shock:
3. The barrel channel doesn't have perfect alignment with the barrel. :?
4. The barrel is free floating. :lol:
Anyway, I need to get it out to the range, and see how she does. I've been out with the new scope, but not with the new stock. I have some 60 grn Partitions loaded w/24.5 grns Varget. We'l see. Before the new stock that load was giving me some flyers...
