Hey Guy you aren't excited or anything are you? I have to get to bed or I'd give you a call. We are doing a little man hunting, or carcass hunting in the morning and I have to get up at about 0330.

Now THAT is putting the cart before the horse! I haven't even got to Wyoming yet, let alone found and shot a pronghorn. Let alone one worthy of having mounted!

Well Alberta must be the last place in North America to release draw results, but my hope at a prarie elk tag came up empty again, so did mule buck, and bull moose. i had a moose tag last year so that was not surprising. this elk tag is giving me fits, every year I get my hopes up every year I draw nil. Last year at p6 shoulda been a 50% chance this year at p7 shoulda been about a 67% chance, next year at p8 itll bee an 80% or so. but its frustrating.lol

Just checked and was successful for elk "B" tag for Montana!!! My dog thinks I am crazy and is trying to figure out what is so exciting at this time of day :lol: . Will be hunting elk in the Dillon area of Montana in October!!

Shot the 300WSM on Sunday and put 3 shots theough the same hole at 100 yards with a 180 AB, so I am good to go.

I hunted up that way in 2008 for archery elk - good hunt. The bulls were rutting, the snow flying and the wolves were howling. I shot a 5pt that hunt and had to leave 3 quarters hanging in the tree overnight. The next morning there were wolf tracks under the tree and I was glad I traded my bow for a rifle for the pack out! I heard the wolves but never saw them.

That is awesome Joel! Hopefully we are both packing elk out this Fall! I do hope your pack is further than mine though! :twisted:
