I'm still working on my ammo display board and am just a few pieces of brass from having it complete (all ammo I currently shoot as well as ammo from guns I no longer own). The one that I am going to need help with is 44colt. Unfortunately I sold that revolver, dies and ammo/brass without the foresight of keeping a piece for such a project.

or these?

Not the 44-40 Charlie. The 44 colt like Fotis has pictured. I had gotten a revolver on trade with 3 or 4 boxes of Black Hills ammo & brass... I thought also dies, but now that think about it.... I never did have dies as I was on the lookout for 44Russian dies. They were supposed to be able to be used to load for the 44colt and although not dime a dozen, were certainly easier to come by than the actual 44colt dies as I understood it. I liked the gun well enough but really served me no purpose, especially as I wasn't into SASS type stuff. I had the hardest time locating any brass and never did get around to picking up dies. I wound up trading it off a couple months back... a decision I may one day regret.

So, Fotis... is that your own stash of brass or was that pic taken at a shop? I'd be happy to send you a few bucks for a piece if it is indeed your own stash. BTW... I'm not picky as to whether it's new or fired.... just reasonably decent shape.

I got the picture off gunbroker. If they were mine you would have them for free buddy.

LOL! I have no idea how you stumbled onto that one! When I had the revolver I'd scour gunbroker listings... sifting through every add that'd come up, usually for a Colt 44 cal black powder. When I'd add brass to the search, I'd usually come up empty. When I did find brass, it was more than I'd be willing to pay. If I'd seen that add back then, I'd have been all over it! That's not a half bad price as compared to what few listings I came across.

Robert, you could probably use a seating die for .44 special and seat a bullet into a .44 russian case trimmed to the right length and call it good! If I remember, the're not much different.
