Hello  ,i was given some m80 ball powder, has anyone got loads for 69,77,80 hpbt projectiles using this powder.never used this powder before,so any good info would be great. from barry 8)

The M80 is loaded with WC846. It is very similar to Hodgdon's BLC2.
My 308 likes
47gr WC846
CCI match primer
win brass
150gr NBT.

Surpluss powders can very greatly, so start low and work up, and work up again with each new lot.

I've also shot this powder with 69gr NCC's. With federal brass, and CCI mag primers, I went up to 24gr with a .556 Nato chamber. Velocity out of a 16" bbl was around 2550. Accuracy looked promising, but I still have not zeroed in on "the load". I would suggest using a slower powder for the 77, or 80 grain pills.

Hello  , went to the range on saturday and shot some targets at 110 yards.
i used my new rebarreled ruger 223 with a 1 in 8 twist mabco 26 inch s/steel barrel (rem profile).
the load i used was: nosler 69 hpbt competition.
25.5 adi 2208 =(varget).
case lapua.
primer rem 7 1/2 b/rest.
o.a.l. 2.362.5 inch(60.0mm).

my group size so far with 10 shots is 1.075in .( i pull two, one at 12 o'clock and one at two o'clock .)
8 shots is 0.840 in.
have not used the m80 powder yet.but will soon. what loads do you think for the 77 and 80 projectiles. from savagefvss.[/url]
