I shot my 06 after all of the cleaning I did. I was not able to get it spotless, but I wanted to shoot. I shot 165 BT set .060, .075, 090" off the lands with 57gr of H4350. I got 1.425 with .060/ 1.622 with .075/ and 1.250 with .090" off the lands. I plan on getting some Sweet's or Bore Tech next weekend to really clean the rifle. Hoppe's is not cutting it. My 22-250 was not cleaned after the last trip to the range. I did this to see how it would shoot the loads that measured .334 last time. This time I shot 3 different 3 shot groups and got 1.340, 1.250, 1.416. I was not happy with that. I am going to load up some more test loads this week and clean the rifle and retest it again. Maybe the .334 was just luck. I am now going to try 180gr BT in the 30-06 and clean the 22-250 really well and retest some more loads. I am hoping I just had a bad day with the 22-250 and that it will get better.

You will never get the bore clean with Hoppies #9. Get some Sweets 7.62 to cut the copper fouling.
Hoppies #9 is good for adding aroma to your gun room (a smell you never forget) and it also works well as aftershave during the gun season.

I am not going shooting until I clean both the 06 and 22-250 with Sweets or BTE. I don't know what one the store in the big town will carry, but I will take one of the two.

I just logged my info in my shooting book and noticed that the .334" group used Rem brass and today's rounds used Win brass. Maybe that is why the group opened up an inch?
