What about a 260 Rem and Reloader 26???

With all this 6.5 creedmoor talk and R26 powder, heck will R26 work in the 260 rem.? I can't and won't jump on the creedmoor band wagon. Heck why would I when I have 2-260's and been shooting them for years, before the birth of the creedmoor. Not saying its not great cause it a ballistic twin to the 260, I would one day love to have several more 6.5's of another sort. Anyway I have R26 and 130 accubonds, 142 ABLR, 140 BT and 140 AB's. Will it work in a 260 with these bullets?? Shoot mostly Remington brass, have both a 22.5" barrel and 24" barrel on my guns.
Can some run some Quickload data for R26 and these bullets??? maybe it won't even work.. thanks

My 260 can seat them out to about 2.87. Wonder if that longer OAL would help with more powder room in the case?

That looks really good, I'm going to have to try it sometime.

I started shooting the 260 Rem the year it was introduced (1997) and haven't been disappointed with it in any way. The 6.5 Creedmoor is good too but there is nothing wrong with the 260 at all. As a bonus my Savage heavy barrelled gun can seat bullets out to around 3.00"

Dead on Gerry. The Savage SA mags are right at 3"
