What did you use to take your first animal of other species?

I "briefly" had a 358 Norma mag. I went through having it rebarreled, even shot it 10 times with DoubleTap 180 TTSX going 3100. Then I got clobbered by ObammaCare Extortion. Had to sell about everything I had. I figured I would "have a good chance" of being the only one the mountain with one, ha.

Daisy Model 96- Sparrows in the machine shed/barn.
Crossman 760 - Same "game" with the occasional wood pecker

Sold my first couple .22's in a weak moment involving a girl - still got the Daisy and the Crossman, and the girl..... CL
