What I want for 2020

I would like to see plastic tipped Nosler Partition bullets with slightly better BC. I would like to see a 6.5 plastic tip and slight boat tail between 120-125gr. with a BC above .480 and a 30cal plastic tip slight boat tail 180gr. I feel this would provide the best comprise of Peneration and long range expansion and bring the Partition into the next generation.
Yes I don't like the magazine box flatting tips during recoil.

What would you like for 2020 ?

Would like to see some more offerings in 17 caliber. A 30gr ballistic tip with a boat tail would be pert near unbeatable. You could make the tips teal!

Yes the Nosler 130gr AB performed perfect at the distance I used it at. I wonder at what distance or FPS without hitting bone what it really expands at ? Just wondering how far I can use it to.
I just don't know of another bullet that puts the wack of a copper core bullet and the Peneration of a copper bullet, like a Partition.

While the Nosler Partition is the Classic and first premium bullet it's ready to be upgraded IMHO. I also think it would set a new standard in long range bullets.

Well, I have seen the 160 ABs at similar speeds open just fine out to 450’ish. I wouldn’t worry a lick about your combo. While a poly tipped Partition would be neat the AccuBond is a great bullet from just about every example we’ve found left in a dead buck or bull.

These are pretty neat though, but I don’t think they’ve made anymore since the 60’s. A poly tip would be pretty wicked too.


But, the good old Accubonds don’t leave too much behind.

You aren’t kidding Gerry! I’d love to have a couple 100 of them for my 264 Win Mag.

I could go for a 155-160 grain AB myself. That’d be a beast around 3000 FPS

It sure was. If you look real close you can see the transition.

I wonder how the long range accuracy was with these two diameter bullets in the .264 years ago ?
I know it was to reduce pressure to achieve higher FPS Load. Maybe something we need again in all bullets.
Who would not like a little more speed in there reloads.

For 2020 I'd like to see updated load data for all the "hot" new powders - mainly RL26, RL23, RL16 - where it made sense - mostly the 25-06 and 300 WSM for me, but I wouldn't turn down 300 WBY data. And, I'd like to see a high BC .257 bullet - 115 ABLR?
