What & where did you draw this year?

NM fork antlered deer rifle(mulies and coues in my unit, can take either), muzzleloader cow elk, late season rifle mule deer at my brothers place in CO. Will buy the boy a left over youth cow tag, may do private land barbary again this year, if the quail hunting is as good as it was last year won't be getting much work done this winter:)

My Son and I will be hunting 3rd season mule deer in Colorado and I have a Sept. Muzzleloader mule deer tag in Utah. Then its waterfowl all winter!

Well our draw results came up online this afternoon and my wife and I came up empty :(

That helps plan out our fall though:

Late August - moose and elk with DrMike and saskboy.
August 1 - Nov 15 - goat hunting
August 15 - mid September black bears in the berry patches, the season is longer but we don't want bears that have eaten rotten fish. Hope to be able to see my wife connect on her first big game animal.
November - blacktailed deer, the season is very long but I hope Maria and me can get out then for a quick trip.

I just drew a bull elk tag, nothing special just burned my points so me and my daughter can be on the same sheet.

She drew nothing as well, but that was to be expected. I did however pick her up a landowner pronghorn tag, and she should have drawn a left over muzzle loader deer tag yesterday. Just waiting to find out and I'm trying to work out some kind of elk hunt for her.

Just found out that I drew a deer tag for Arizona.
Now I just need to see where and when.

The draw results for Saskatchewan are out & I did not pick up 1 tag :(. I maybe going for regular Elk & Moose with the way price of beef is going up.
So I guess my Moose hunt with DrMike & gerry will be my big one .
Whitetail will be a must this year:)!!!

Blessings,
Dan

DrMike the animal is just a bonus  getting to hunt with you, Noah & gerry is what it is all about. (y). I am have been praying every day that our trip is a success. Remember if I am fortunate enough to get a bull it gets split 4 ways !

Blessings,
Dan

I'm hoping that Noah has his moose by the time you fellers arrive. I'll have him out opening morning on a hot spot. Two down? Bonus. It takes the monkey off my back. Then I can concentrate on getting moose for you guys and plotting for an elk.

Yes opening day is just a little over a month away!! I am sure looking forward to it . Hope that it cools down by then as we are having one hot July so far!!

Blessings,
Dan

Hasn't been bad here, Dan. Warm, but not excessively so for July. Lots of fires all around, but I believe AB and SK have it far worse then BC at this time.

Talked with my buddy from Speedy Creek, after 12 yrs he finally drew for moose, and after 10 he also drew an elk( cypress hills) . And he drew mule deer around home.
Sask ( to me) has a messed up way of drawing and both the elk and moose draw open and close at the same time , makes it real tough to plan for him because they are different zones.
I hope he can connect , that's a long wait for a draw.

I have always been fairly lucky when it comes to the draw but this is now 3 years in arow that I have not pulled a draw tag. 3 years ago I got a anterless Mulie tag but that is it.
I don't understand why our draw & licensing system comes out of the southern US 8).
Oh well I will try to concentrate on the regular seasons !!

Blessings,
Dan

Caribou, Moose, Black and Brown Bear, Wolf for sure. Bison, Sheep and Elk are possible but it will depend on whether we have the time or to be honest the inclination.

Dan, your turn will come, but I am sorry you did not draw this year. It sounds like you will have a good time hunting with your friends this year, so that is a plus for sure.

A friend of mine on a different forum also did not draw everything he was hoping for.

Dr Mike and Gerry--congratulations It looks like you will both be very busy this fall, best of luck to you both and to everyone

The extent of my big game hunting for this year and next will be limited to whitetail deer in Wisconsin. The reason for this is that my fiancé and I are planning a wedding for September 17th 2016.

Well, I'd say that a wedding pretty well supersedes most other activities. Congratulations, Keith. May God bless you with a long and joyous life together.

Keith, congratulations on your upcoming wedding day!!! May you be blessed with a long, loving marriage & may all your prayers be answered..
Also good luck on this years Whitetail hunt (y).

Blessings,
Dan

The positive side to all of this is that I have converted her to the dark side of hunting and have introduced her twin 16 YO daughters to target shooting. I have them hooked on the 22LR though I seem to have trouble getting them to shoot a 260 Remington.
