While you're all talking about the 30 Nosler...

A 35 Nosler? Time to secure a Model 70 stainless action and order up a McMillan to have waiting.

Now you're talking! (y)

I know a fellow who made a .375 WSM years ago, shortly after the .300 WSM was introduced.

Believe he's used it on moose, and probably something else now. Make your own cartridge! Why not?

Yep, thinking 358 STA territory. Loaded with a 225gr AccuBond and it will make a great bear rifle. I'll go with a pacnor stainless #3 at 24".

So what kind of velocities are we looking at for the 35 Nosler say compared to the 35 Norma?

358 Shooting Times Alaskan

So I'd say about 2950-3050 with 250's and 3100 or better with 225's with an appropriate barrel. It'll be a monster.

358 STA is the closest match I can think of, in case capacity.

The Nosler case may fall 3-5 grains short, depending on where they put the shoulder and neck length (haven't looked at the reamer specs)

The Nosler case should be at least 10 grains ahead of the 358 Norma...
