Photo sent to me by a friend - apparently these elk were seen in Utah. I've seen white deer before, but never a white elk. Incredible!

I'd be willing to bet those are game farm elk, and the amelanistic trait is coming out because they're inbreeding a bunch. Pretty cool, nonetheless.

Very cool.
Many years ago, there was an Albino WT deer that was seen by several of us during hunting season, he was a spike horn. He was captured and put in the Presque Isle Zoo in Marquette, MI where he live to a ripe old age. Its the only one I ever saw. I also saw a Piebald WT doe in SE MI about 15 yrs ago. I always thought that they were very cool.

Never seen an elk. Just deer antelope and moose. No elk though.

Seen a couple behind a fence on an elk farm in Alberta, but never in the wild. Could happen I guess as I seen a whitetail and cow moose that were white.
