Wierdest chrono ever???????????

It may/probably mess with accuracy due to altering the harmonics.
However setup is so easy huh?

Really simple. Probably really accurate too. Sweet frame by frame footage. Why would you check velocity before you knew you had a bughole load? I would get it to shoot before I chrony so if it does affect accuracy it wouldn't bother me.

Certainly looks interesting. I don't think it would replace my conventional chrono, as I would be concerned about changing the harmonics. I generally shoot through my chronograph at 100yd targets during load development as I want velocity info from load workups as well as initial group precision info. This probably wouldn't double my shooting during load workups, but it would increase it substantially.

Fascinating. I have no doubt that electromagnetic transitions could be measured. I am concerned about the potential for interference from muzzle blast. Also, the price is getting up there compared to a Chrony. I would think that they will need to bring the price down, or demonstrate that the systems is more accurate than optical interference. Nevertheless, very interesting.

This will actually be a spring board of other chronos to come. All at a much lower price point.

Thats interesting.
I still like my Oehler 35.

It's simple and compact enough. One thing I noticed is that it didn't seem to loose it's reading with other shooters around. My chrony is almost useless at the range if there are
other shooters because their shots re-start the reading which alters or wipes out my reading. I can watch the reading alter or dissapear with other shots.
The second thing is that it can be installed and removed without having to wait for the cease fire. Wait 20 min for a cease fire shoot 3 or so times and wait 20 minutes to retreve the chrony. I can see pluses . I don't shoot for serious accuracy with the chrony in place anyway.
My concerns would be. Withstanding Ultra mag blasts and it working on rifles with muzzle brakes. I'm thinking that the blast would bend the unit into a mono-pod.
We'll probably see or read reviews about these in the next few months.
Thanks Pop for the heads up!

I like my 35 too.
