Where have I been is this new or have I just overlooked it?? The winchester extreme weather and the featherweight now chambered in 7wsm.

Thanks for posting this. It is also being chambered in the Model 70 Coyote Light, according to the Winchester site. I have one of the New Haven Model 70 Featherweights chambered in 7mm WSM. It is a powerhouse. This is great to see. Of course, I'm never happy; now, I want it in the Model 70 Stainless Featherweight.

I hear ya. You know what they say. "Once you go stainless featherweight............"

My New Haven 7mm WSM is a stainless Featherweight. I'm holding out. Actually, they made a serious mistake and let this one get out of the old factory with a barrel that was a smooth as a baby's bottom. It is a delight to shoot.

Son of a GUN! I am not sure what I have done wrong in my past life, but man, Winchester is killing me. Just when I gave up hope of a SC built 7WSM, and buy a New Haven built rifle, they go and do this! Man, I am just not a winner sometimes! Scotty

Scotty,

Nothing wrong with two 7mm WSMs, and then determine which shoots better or brings more pleasure.

Man, I can't believe a few weeks after I buy one, they release another! I guess the good thing is Winchester is chambering the 7WSM again. That is great in my book. Means they don't consider it dead. After seeing how my rifle shot yesterday with the first 19 rounds down the tube, I don't think I could let it go, ever. Scotty

Good enough to replace that nasty old .270 WSM?

I am not thinking so Kurt. The old one seems to be doing okay. Scotty

I think the 7wsm will really come into its own with some good bullets next time  The 270wsm was the king at the range sunday.

That 270WSM seems to shoot itself. Nothing I have ever put through it was bad. Just consistently MOA or better. Gotta mean something. Scotty

Well, you know that .007" between them is a huge difference! (Is my anti-.270 bias showing through?)

I was an anti 270 Winchester guy as well. Thought the sun rise and set on 7mm's until I got this 270WSM. It changed the game.

Joel, I wished I could find Magpro locally, I really think it would do everything really well in the 264, 7WSM and 270WSM. It is a great powder for those smaller bore WSM's. Plus, it runs through the powder measure like water. Scotty
