Not yet Mike. The 270 has much more history, but the 7 is a real good performer as well. They are identical rifles, so it is a toss up actually to which one gets grabbed....

If you somehow managed to chamber it, it would make for some interesting groups! :shock: It could be a bit stiff to close the bolt, however.

They have different scopes and different mounting hardware. Plus, and mike said, The 7 probably wouldn't chamber in the 270. Oh and I use nickel brass for the 270. Just a couple safeguards to make sure I don't mix them up.

Actually, 7 WSM shouldn't chamber in a .270 at all... Winchester specified different headspace dimensions. The 7 should be too long to fit.

I'm waiting on my EW 7mm WSM to show up any day now. Hopefully have it by this weekend or so. I can't wait to have that one at the range and see how it does compared to my other 7 WSM model 70. Plus, I need to get it ready for spring bear. :mrgreen: I'll be getting that new laminate and stainless Alaskan 375 H&H this year as well. It's good to see Winchester offering stainless rifles for the 375 H&H.

AK, can't wait to see the 7WSM EW. That will be a good weather for your area I imagine. I have a M70 Laminate in 7WSM that is a great shooter. That Stainless 375 is pretty sweet too...
