I was perusing the wares at one of my local dealers and came across one of these rifles in 300 WSM. It was a Whitetails Unlimited banquet prize and is in really good condition. First of it's kind I've ever found.

I kinda like the way it handles but found few references/reviews for it because apparently it was a short lived offering from Winchester. Mike Hanback reviewed one in 270 WSM and it apparently shot very well.

Has anyone here had experience with these rifles in any caliber? Likes or dislikes?

Thanks, Ron

OK, let me ask the question in a slightly different way.

The SXR is supposed to be the same as a Browning BAR Short Trac but with some omissions/modifications to make it different. Anyone have a Short Trac, especially in a WSM caliber?

I'm particularly curious about accuracy. I Know BAR's have a reputation for being more accurate that most other autoloaders but I didn't know about the new versions.
