SO I won an online auction for a JM- 1894 marlin CB 357 with 24" barrel. So I already reload 38 specials with 158/160 grn swc plain base that I cast, and I have 3k wadcutters I was given for free. They both shoot great in my S&W heavy duty 38/44. Anyone one out there have info on 1894 marlin cowboy 357's made in 1999, I would love to hear about it. I'm still waiting for gun to be shipped. I hope I attached the pic right.

That should prove to be a very nice little rifle!

I have very little hands-on experience with them, but have shot a few, and they were all great!

It's still waiting to be shipped to me. Can't wait to get it. My winning bid was 450.00. And think I did good for what JM Marlins are going for, let alone the cowboy models.

It is a shooter, I put a skinner screw-in peep sight on it and with 38's it is like a big 22. holds 14 38's and 12 357's.

Nice looking rifle, always wanted to try 38 specials on raccoons. When I hunted raccoons with hounds always seemed that all a .22LR did was knock them out of the tree and the dog would finish them off.
Enjoy your new rifle. Do you plan on hunting with it ?
