Oooooh Fotis, Why do you torment yourself so   ? You know you will unless you can trade it for something else.
Myself I only buy rifles that I will shoot so Git it done. (y)

Oh that is a tough call....On one hand I feel guns are to be shot...on the other....that thing is awfully pretty as it lays there!

When I see "NIB"....I think "Untapped Potential"

Shoot that thing...never seen a hearse dragging a UHaul!

The rifles I buy are bought to be shot. Yes, I would shoot it and hunt with it.

Those Japanese Browning's have not become expensive collector's items. I would shoot the .348 if you are so inclined.

Fotis - would depend entirely on why I bought the rifle in the first place.

If it's an investment, to make or even "store" money, then no, I would not shoot it. I'd leave it alone in the gunsafe somewhere way in the back and eventually try to make some money off it.

But... It's a wonderful mid-range hunting rifle/cartridge, particularly for big game. Probably ought to be on a moose or grizzly hunt somewhere...

I believe rifles are made to be shot, so I would shoot it. I understand where you're coming from, but I can't justify owning a rifle that I don't shoot. Just my opinion though.

Sweet rifle Fotis!

Yup, shoot that baby, unless you can find a plain old Browning M71 Carbine and make a little dough. I absolutely love my M71 Carbine. It is a slick rifle and talk about solid worksmanship. That rifle is a tank.. Just wished I had more opportunity to hunt with it. It wouldn't get much better for woods, close in type stuff...

If I can shoot a Winchester Jack O'Connor Custom Tribute of which they only made 500, you can shoot that 348 win. and like me, enjoy every minute. What's a gun good for if not to shoot, hunt, and enjoy.

Bingo! And, touché. Well said, Bruce.

Beautiful rifle!. Shoot or not to shoot?.

Well it´s darn too nice to be a truckgun that´s for sure.

My philosophy is no gun is too nice not to be fired atleast once awhile. I would take such gun out for special occasion like people who drive their customcars out on sunny days for a spin.

I shoot everything I own from my Colt 1917 to my recent Model 70.
If I can't shoot it I don't own it.

Did you buy it to Flip to make money - then NO ! or did you buy it because you liked it - you could just look at it now and then too BUT i would shoot it ! JMO :) RJ

It will be mounted with the Lyman 66 peep. She will get shot!

I sold 2 of the 3 NIB firearms I collected along the way as I couldn't bring myself to shoot them. One was a Browning A5 from 1988, the other a Weatherby SLS. I have a 1953 A5 I'd rather shoot and a different used (now refurbished) SLS I shoot instead. I made a bit of money on each but not a lot, and that's not why I bought them.

My other NIB rifle is an older Weatherby XXII semi-auto. That one will not get shot.

Darn right I would be shooting it. Still kicking myself for getting rid of my original 71 deluxe.

Fotis, I am sure glad you are going to shoot that new rifle. They are made to be used and I believe it is your duty  !!

Blessings,
Dan

FOTIS, a man after my own heart, I'd put a receiver sight on it also. A scope would just clutter up the rifle.
