Wyoming antelope

Consider both depending on how far you are coming and how much time you have. The antelope seasons are generous.
That being said, area 7 has an abundance of private land, so maybe consider an outfitter. So far, the winter has been fairly mild (this could of course change) so 2025 could be a good growing season.
The Red Desert ( highly sought antelope area) got hammered in 2023 because of weather. Deep snow and really cold. I have a couple of friends that spend a quite a bit of time out there and the animals that survived, wintered in unusual places due to the snow.
I am going to apply for a few favorite areas. TBD on exactly where. It will depend on if my dad decides to apply as a non resident. He has to decide by the end of January for elk.
Most of the outfitters that work area 7 are based in the Douglas area and while I have never hunted antelope up there, I know there is a ton of BLM access in that part of the state. Maps are your friend. On X is a useful tool as well.
I made a previous post about how area 7 can be a challenge due to limited access and also consideration of CWD. I know G&F publicly states that CWD is more of an issue with the deer herds, but still should be noted. I live just south of area 7 for reference.

If I hunt elk it will be with Rough Country Outfitters or Wagonhound. My brother will be hunting a cow elk and I will be hunting a bull.

If antelope it will be DIY red dessert.
I have 15 points and I will definitely hunt the red desert.
