Wyoming's draw results are avail early - and I was successful! :grin: Now I'm going to be hunting deer in both Washington and Wyoming this year!

Going to be hunting between Cody and Yellowstone... That's as much as I'm going to narrow it down right now... :grin: This should be interesting, signed on with an outfitter for the hunt, haven't done that before. I enjoy hunting Wyoming. Heck, I just plain like being in Wyoming - but I'm not going to have a chance to do any pre-season scouting there this year - it's quite a drive from here. So... What the heck, he knows how to find 'em, and I don't mind paying him to help get me on a buck!

Hmmm. Will be hunting pretty high country. Normally I stay in pretty good shape, but I've been nursing a couple of injuries. Need to start getting in better shape for that high country stuff. Some hiking and biking ought to do it. When I hunted elk there, we were camped at 9,000' and hunted/scouted to about 11,000'. That's a whole lot higher than where I live, which is maybe 800' - 1000' ASL.

Also have plans for hunting my usual spots here in Washington with my son. Have put in for special tags for deer, elk and bighorn sheep. Fat chance of getting drawn for the sheep hunt, but I'll be able to hunt deer, bear and elk without any special tags, even if I don't get drawn.

We got our Antelope tags in the mail today, we will be hunting NE WY. I am taking my Wife & one of my sons. I have used my Sendero in 25-06AI
on previous trips, but I may use a 270 this time, as I have not shot any
Western game with a 270, which almost seems immoral. I will try 130 BT & 140 Acc. & use the one that shoots best. For my Wife's 6.5X55, I will check the 130Acc & use it if accurate, I already know it will shoot the 120BT & may try the 125Part as well. My son wants to use my 300WM Lam. stock Sendero, he knows it is not needed, but likes the gun. It likes 180 & 200 gr. bullets & that is what I use for Elk, but I may load some 168BST & see how they group. Guy, like you, I love being in WY. & sometimes even in OCT the weather diff. between Arkansas & WY. can shock your system for a day or two, I bet Jan. would be something to behold!! :shock: :shock:
