My buddy got this one Sat. about 9:30 am with his 22-250 and 45 gr. HP. Shot another one with no luck finding it. Went on three sets Sat. night and came up dry :x

Woodcreek,

Nice coyote, congratulations to your buddy.
Give the 60 gr PT a try, penetration almost into tomorrow on coyotes.

I've tried everything but beat my buddy across the head with 55 BTs and 60 gr PTs. He loves those fast 45s. I think i'll buy him a box of both and start hitting him with them until he gives them a try

Ditto what JD said !!

I shot a lot of 40grers then switched to the 55's. Night and day difference on knock down .... I can only imagine what the 60's are like......
The next box of 60gr B-tips I see I'm going to have to try... guess if the twist of the -250 doesn't like them I can always use them in the AR.....

The 60 BTs and Benchmark will be the next combo i load for varmints in the AR. That is until my .243 gets here

My 25-06 Savage tactical with 100 gr BT's at 3400 fps does a job on them, deer and antelope!!!!!!!!!

Sorry POP, the deal i got on the .243 i couldn't pass up. That Savage tac 25-06 will be in the safe soon enough

If i could have got my hands on the Savage Tactical 25-06 :?: :?: :?: Nobody around here had one in stock. It was going to take my buddy over a month to get one in his shop.

Jim:

I went out today and played with seating depth on an already established load with 100 BT gr at 3400 fps. See here...

25-06 100 gr BT at 3385 fps , 3.220" COAL and .6" groups at 100 yards

I built 2 more loads. One at .020" deeper than original and one .020" even deeper.
Wait until you see what the 3.180" shot like!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

less than 1/4"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats awesome shooting Pop!
Looks like you found the load. 8)
