I couldn't find anything in the Search, even though it seems like I asked about a QL for this combo before. Anyhow, has anyone tried any Hunter with this combo? Could I get a QL for this out of a 22" .270 around 63-64K? I got outstanding results from the Barnes 110TTSX/Hunter in my recently departed .270W. ( Oh, I'm working on another, this time in a Franchi Momentum.) Thanks. I figure this combo would give any 25-06/240W/6.5 Creed and run for its money on coyotes? No pelts for me, so I don't care if it cuts them in half! ha

I can honestly say that 100gr or 110gr .270 bullets moving at 3300 - 3500 fps are devastating to a coyote! It blows BIG holes in them. Not much left for a pelt hunter. But you're like I am, not out there to collect the pelt, just to hunt them because they are so smart, and not easy to fool one, or two. They are a worthy opponent. Great eyesight for a canine. Their hearing is above par as well.
Even 130 gr bullets make good coyote busters.

Sorry, not the 270 Winchester, but...food for thought
Did not try the 110gr VMax in my 270 Wby, but did try the 110gr TTSX's and was about to try the 110gr AB's when I sold the rifle. The rifle was a rechambered Browning B-78 with a 28" barrel. Was getting over 3800 fps and 1" groups with the TTSX and was still one grain below max. Sorry, did not shoot any coyotes with that load, but can tell you that the factory Wby ammo with the 100 gr Hornady's was absolutely devastating on them! Would open them up from stem to stern with nothing but red mist on the ground. Didn't have to gut them!
A friend of mine owned the rifle before me and had great success on coyotes with the Sierra 90gr HP bullets going approx 4000 fps! Was a very accurate load too...as it would print one hole groups (do not recall if he ever measured those groups), but did see him shoot those targets.
