Anyone using this powder with 180 gr BST's or 180 gr of any sort?

I called IMR/Hodgdon/Win

and asked about this combo as they dont have any listed. The response was it doesnt work good with that bullet weight.

My previous dealings with that company make me throw this on the forum as they arent always honest in their responses.
Example...
When Winchester supreme 780 powder had hit..I asked them why no load data for the 25 wssm. The response? It doesnt work at all in that caliber so that is why no listing. About a year later naturally they have data for that powder/caliber in a range of bullets.

So does the suprformance perform just fair in a 300wsm 180 combo as I was told or have the folks there just not finished their data for this combo and publish it yet?

Thanks

P.S.
the most important part I forgot was what are the results?

I do not have any data but the burning rate is close to H4831. On the Hodgdon site, they are showing it at 3270 fps with 72.0 grains and the Nosler Partition. You might want to check it out because that is pretty fast.

That load is exactly what I am talking about. It is 165 gr bullet. The 180 gr bullet of any brand there is nothing with that powder.

Nobody on here have any results from using this newer stuff and 180 bullets. ?

From the Hodgdon site

"Because this propellant is tailored for specific applications, the number of cartridges and bullets is limited, but where it works, it really works!"

Based on the info Hodgdon provides, it would seem that the only recourse you have is to start from scratch, post your results, then we can all be better informed.

I tried it in my 300WSM with 180AB's. It doesn't work. Everything I have read about this powder says it works well on light-for-caliber bullets, but gives subpar performance on the heavier bullets, (especially the WSM's). It proved out to be true in my rifle.

...was pretty much underwhelmed w/ Superformance, a few good groups, but consistantly 100+fps less than RL-17 in most loads, .25 WSSM, .300 WSM, .325 WSM in comparabale loadings...
