Guys, these are both cocobolo, but one has a lot of blonde in it. It looked like a regular block of cocobolo until I sawed the blank out! they both look great, but boy, that blonde is something else! These are both sold to a member here. Although I fear the blonde might “fall of the truck” 😂 just kidding, they’ll be handed off to USPS tomorrow…

does copper squeak in the damp morning air?
Not unless its actually gotten wet, humidity won't effect it like slate. slate will draw moisture from the air. If you get copper wet, just dry it off. A little tip for slate; if it draws moisture and goes "flat or squeky", you can turn it upside down over a cig lighter and keeping the lighter moving and at 6-8 inches away, it will dry slate fast. You can actually see it change color as the water dries out. Let it cool for a minute, recondition with a scuff pad, and its good to go. Just be careful, it doesn't need to get hot, warm is plenty to dry it. Also slate will crack if it gets too hot, or the glue holding it in gets soft.

Guy's I bought these calls. They sound awesome and are beautiful. If your thinking of getting 1 do it. You won't be disappointed.
Thanks, buddy! I enjoyed making them. I still have separation anxiety over that dang blonde call 😂
