They can trim the trees to an amazing extent! How cool! And to think I get annoyed at the deer munching on my arborvitaes. Can't imagine what Bullwinkle would do to landscaping.
My buddy in Maine had a really nice apple tree (with a fence around it) growing for a few years in the front yard. He took very good care of it and had gotten apples on a couple of occasions. As he does not live in Maine but in New York he drives up once a month and stays for two weeks at a time. Well, he was up last week and when pulling in the front drive found the fence around the tree on the ground and the tree trimmed to the point where he didn't know if it would survive or not. Moose tracks around the tree convinced him who the pruner was. They can trim the trees to an amazing extent!
Yup, they have voracious appetites. They can give a tree or bush a severe pruning in a very short time.My buddy in Maine had a really nice apple tree (with a fence around it) growing for a few years in the front yard.
