Just picked this leather machine up at a good price, should speed up some of my leather projects. Now i just have to make some dedicated room in the shop, and maybe even get the other leather supplies out of the gun room, it started taking over when i got back from Calgary.

Nice,

Shop space is an issue. For a long time my shop was a half basement where I had a double needle, a needle feed, a bar tacker and an Adler shoe patch machine as well as an 8 ft cutting table and fabric racks. Talk about putting away the pencil before I could get out a pen!

The Adler had a hand crank as well as a motor to go real slow. All my carpenter friends would bring there tool bags by for repair. Eventually I sold all and just use a compound feed single needle for everything. Really like the new servo motors that run only when the pedal is down and the speed is adjustable.

What kind of leather projects?

I've been hand stitching tote bags, and such mostly, and other requested hand bags/purses for the daughters. Some belts, couple wallet.
Here is some totes I made for my daughter's teacher gifts, I'll get the handles riveted on this weekend

Yes i will be sure to post some of the other projects,

My wife has one like the black one. She paid quite a lot for a brand name, came to find out the bottom was vinyl after a bit of wear. Sometimes making it yourself can be better quality. I bet those teachers will really get a lot use and enjoyment from those.

Yuck, I don't like it when people sneak cheap synthetics in. If it is priced accordingly, OK, but it is lame when you buy a premium product to get that.
Thanks, my wife keeps telling me I better figure out how much to charge, when people start asking
That is the question isn't it! It feels like I should charge a good amount for something made entirely by hand, but I'm always worried handmade prices will scare everybody off. It is a process to figure out.

If you have any pictures of the wallets you made those would be cool to see. I'm making a wallet pattern right now, trying to figure out what design I prefer.

I went the minimalist direction, here's the wallet and card holders
