Me too Ernie. I was never interested in the magneto speed. I do not like attaching stuff to my barrel.
I sold my labradar. Overall OK but missed shots now and again.
I have a new unused Chrono Beta or Gamma-I forget, it is somewhere.
I have a Competition Electronics ProChrono DLX Bluetooth as a backup.
And I bought an FX Ballistics for a little over $1k. Phenomenal machine. Never skips a beat. Gives you a BC readout also.

The month after that they came out with the $600 garmin. Now a 350$ Athlon......Jeez can't catch a break in my timing!

Competition is a great thing in the marketplace. The Garmin will likely drop to the $400 range.

I still have my Lab, but would move it if somebody wanted it. Had a Oehler 33P before that...Still have it.
Magneto never intrigued me for the same reason you mentioned.
I stayed with the Lab, until the Garmin came out.
Looking to move these two Chromo's for a good price, but have not put them for sale yet.
May give the 33P away to a new shooter locally, when I find the right person.

Looks very promising! Also appears that you can unscrew the face plate - maybe it'll have a user serviceable battery if it ever needs replacement.

that's where i ordered 1 from also. no tax and no shipping to Texas for $349, but won't ship till after 6/17/25 as it's all on pre-orders. can't beat that price as it's $50-125 cheaper than everyone else!

btw, i have the velociradar to compare a side-by-side. i'll order a garmin xero also and maybe a lab lx and fx true ballistic. i don't mind having 5 chronos, just hope the doppler's don't interfere with each other?

found an xero new for $489.98 w/$5.00 shipping, so now i'll have 3 for kicks.

I put my FX against the Xero this past weekend. 2 different 300 bee rifles with different loads. Differences were from 1-7 fps max.

Very interesting Fotis, I still have the little Chrony you sold me, and it is outperforming some of my friends more expensive equipment as long as I keep it in the shade during bright full sun days.
Thanks for selling it to me, I don't need all the fancy stuff just need to know how fast my ammo is running.
