Took the .375 H&H to the range this morning to work on a little load developement. In spite of a called shot with the Stabl 6.5 the group was good, two touching and the called third shot. 2503 fps. I’ll add 1/2 grain to see if I gain a little velocity.
Then I fired a load of H4350, no adjustment to the Vx3Hd 1.5x5. This load came in at 2970 fps. And printed 4 inches higher. Nice one inch cloverleaf. I was surprised it printed so much higher with only 70 fps faster.
I kinda think I could get a little bit better groups if I but a higher power scope on the rifle, but consistent moa out of 5 power is certainly good enough for the task at hand.
Both were shot with 300 gr. Barnes TSX.
