From what I understand the action is almost identical to the M70 Winchester, so you can use any stock for M70 and have little or no more fitting work than you would for the M70.
Congrats on your upcoming 10th. You are right about Houma, it's about 90 miles SE of me. It's even farther South than New Orleans. I'm 45 miles W of Baton Rouge, just outside of Lafayette. If you can find a Meche's Donut shop try their King Cake. They are my favorite, try 1/2 Bavarian Cream and...
Welcome to Louisiana Joel. We do have a lot of deer here in La., but like you mentioned, it's so thick it's hard to get to them. Guess that's why we have so many. Good luck in Mo., lot of deer and big deer there.
I have adjusted the trigger on the model you are asking about a long time ago...
I shoot a tamed down load, 5.0 Gr. W231 under 200 Gr. SWC for the steel challenge with a tricked out Para P14-45. Very accurate with very low recoil for quick recovery for next shot.
If there's a way to make time stand still, it's waiting for a new rifle to come in or waiting for a scheduled hunt date to arrive. Congrats on a nice rifle in a sweet caliber.
Here is a white rose pendant necklace and earrings I had made for my late wife in 1999. A local jeweler did it for me. He cut 1 tooth into 4 pieces to make the earrings and engraved white roses on all pieces and on the whole tooth for the pendant.
I'm not a fan of a hard trigger pull although I can tolerate a stiffer pull weight if it has no creep and breaks really crisp. I acquired a Weatherby MkV a while back and before going to the range with it I checked the pull with my Lyman Electronic Trigger Pull Gauge. It happened to be set as...
I have 3 Remington 700's with Jewell triggers other rifles w/Timney that Jewell don't make triggers for and tried a Rifle Basix once that was so inconsistent that I replaced it with a Timney. Jewell is the best by far when they make it for your rifle, and they are all stainless steel. Here is...
Don't know much about bears Steven. I don't have any bears in the immediate vicinity of my hunting area. Wouldn't think they would be too attracted to soybeans although I hear they are pretty adaptive to what ever is available. I know enough that if there is something they like in the feeder...
Steven, the pics are of a couple of my feeders. My hunting buddy and I have 2 of the 600 lb feeders that we modified with the 4 port feeder heads and 6 that were made from 55 gallon plastic drums that hold 350 lbs each. They will feed soybeans, corn or pelletized protein feed. We have a bad...
