Back at it again with the 22 hornet!

The loads were 11.5 and 12 gr of H110 & Lilgun.
Pulled the remaining loads and re loaded them.

Very nice rifle Fotis. My dad had a Winchester model 43 in 22 Hornet. My brother has it now. My dad shot a doe dead center of the white spot under her chin. She never moved, just strait down. I’m not saying it’s a deer rifle because I don’t consider it one, but it certainly worked that day we were squirrel hunting. I’ve always loved that little rifle.

Found the load....I think!

I switched from cci 450 to Fed 205M caps.

Nice load work up and great shooting buddy.

With 11.5 gr you'll get 608 rounds from a pound of powder. That's very impressive especially with that kind of accuracy.

Dang that little rifle will shoot. Great job Fotis getting it dialed in.
I don't guess there's a chance now that I can borrow it?
Did you have to do anything to the bedding ?

I Knew we would see one of those "Fotis" one hole targets eventually, Skilled at your craft sir, and apparently a fine shot too. BTW- didnt you know the "hornet isnt very accurate..." 😆CL

This particular group was at 50 yards because of the 35 MPH crosswinds. I needed to sight it in because of new scope being used. Does less than .5" at 100 yards easily BUT that 35 gr hornady with .138 BC can not battle the wind.

It's amazing what a different primer will do for accuracy.
I found the same thing for my 35 Whelen AI. I have a batch of old Winchester primers that is all I use for it and only for hunting loads.
