Here kitty kitty

I may have posted this a few years ago but given a neighbor just lost some goats to a mountain lion it seemed timely. The hunter is a family acquaintance and otherwise all I know is he was the hunter. Cat was killed about 3 miles from the house.
So the pic is from few years ago or this is the one that just killed some goats. Sorry cant figure out the story. Cat looks like has a good head on it.

There’s plenty that you never see, especially herein Washington. Good job on the cat.

Not a picture of the current goat killer. The pictured cat was killed a few years ago.

I wonder how many animals that thing ate in its lifetime?
If I recall correctly, they average a deer a week...
But cougars are known for going on killing sprees...as some sheep farmers can attest to.
Makes one wonder if that occurs on wild prey too...but as they are not usually in pens probably doesn't occur as frequently...

Muscular cat! I have one that lives around here, but I rarely ever see him or hear him. A few years ago he growled at me, so I went back into my house to get my M4 and proceeded to follow them into the woods. Which he didn’t really find comforting, so he growled at me again. The woods around here is too thick so I left him alone. Honestly, I don’t have a problem with him or her, unless they attempt to make a meal out of my Maine Coon, or my French Bulldog.

How do you even get within eyesight range of that thing let alone kill it? Dogs? Hunting at night in pitch dark conditions? Using thermal/night vision scopes?
