Did anyone find any good Black Friday deals?
I think I did OK on this one...
Got a Leupold VX-6HD 3-18x50 w/ Illuminated B&C reticle for 30% off!
I went to the LGS a couple of weeks ago to pick up this scope as their website listed them as having one in stock...only they could not find it. (Still can't)
Stopped in yesterday to try again, as their other store listed one in stock, and glad I did, as they had the one day sale on these scopes for Black Friday. The one from the other store is on its way! (Saved over $1000!)
I had been wanting a 3-18x44 Gen 2, but can only find one in stock anywhere here in Canada and it is almost $4,000! So for the almost $1,500 lower cost (plus taxes) I can live with the Gen 1! Other than the turret not needing the Allan key to lock in the zero, the other main difference between the Gen 1 and 2, is that the entire B&C reticle is illuminated on the Gen 1, whereas the Gen 2 has the B&C with just the illuminated FireDot.
Going to mount it on my LH Fierce Carbon Rogue in 7mm PRC.
(The VX-5HD 3-15x44 B&C currently on this rifle will go on the LH Browning X Bolt All Weather when rebarreled to 25 Creedmoor next year.)
