To be released tomorrow 1/7/26. So let's try to guess what it is.

My first guess is 25 RPM but with a 1:7 twist for the 134 ELDM, 128 ELDX and 135 Berger. This is what makes sense to me.

My second guess would be the 7mm RPM again, with a fast 1:8 twist. This would be pretty much a 7mm Rem Mag ballistically with maybe 100 fps less. Redundant in my book and if one wants to use the 195 Berger velocity would suffer. Again this is my opinion.
WBY in the past goofed up in my opinion by introducing the 7mm WBY mag with a 1:10 twist.
I do have a Euromark in said configuration, but I only shoot the 150 TTX at 3250 fps (via Retumbo) with phenomenal accuracy so I am fine with the 10 twist for my uses.
Although a 17 Wby Mag based on the 224 would rock! LOL You know since the day is 1.7...26 Just kidding......
So What say you?

I hope not. My badlands lightweight in 240 Bee has a 1:7.5 twist and it shoots the heavies great! Redundant to my needs.

Did I just say needs pertaining to a new rifle? What is wrong with me?

One looks thicker than the other so is there a possibility you guys think that it might be two like a 300 RPM or 7 mm RPM along with a 25???? Lol

I would be surprised if it’s anything other than a 25 RPM. The shorten case would be my clue , why shorten the 6.5 to make a 7mm RPM.

There seems to be quite a bit of interest in the 7mm-6.5 PRC wildcat. Sorry, cannot recall at the moment what they are calling it.

Edit: They are calling it the 7-6.5 PRCW.

It’s going to be a 25 Cal. The RPM is basically a lengthened 284 case. So if your going to run long high BC 25 cal bullets. They are going to need to shorten the RPM case some. Which makes it real 25-284’sh. A 7 twist isn’t needed at those velocities. I’m banking on a 1-7.5 twist.

25-284 with a 134gr ELD-M properly seated. Custom Manson reamer. I’m running 3160 fps.

Someone needs to come out with a long action fast twist quarter bore...Short actions don't really impress me much for big game cartridges.

None of that bothers me much any. Haven't bought a factory rifle in over 10 years. I'd rather just build a fast twist 25/06 or 257 WBY personally, or maybe even a 25-284, again on a long action. The 134/135s at 3100-3200 are serious antelope and deer medicine a long ways out...

A lengthened existing case design and reasonable freebore… not really pioneering there!
Not sure why they don’t embrace more girth, for capacity. So many benefits vs long and skinny, in my experience.

I did some playing on quickload last night. I "necked down" the 6.5 RPM to 257 cal with a 1:7 twist. At 62K PSI I was able to "produce" loads with the 134 ELDM in the 3250 fps range.

Anyway we will know in about 30 minutes or so.

I will gravitate towards the 107 Tipped hammers. BC .510 at 3400-3500 fps.
They will load:
92 gr Hammer
107 Tipped Hammer
117 SST
115 Barnes LRX--not officially released yet
and 133 Berger
Those 107g Hammer HBC would be awesome at 3400 to 3500 fps.
