Anyone tried the Browning X Bolt 2 rifles yet?

I have enjoyed my Browning X Bolt rifles over the years. Have 4; 3 in the LH All Weather version (pepper laminate/stainless; 6.5 CM, 270 WSM, and 308 Win being rebarreled to 25 CM), and a LH Hunter (6.5 PRC). I really like the stock configuration.
I have read good things about the X Bolt 2; better trigger, bedded actions, and adjustable stocks.

Would like to hear if anyone here has one, and their impressions of this newer version, and its performance.

I am considering getting the LH Hunter Composite in 270 Win, so that I can rebarrel it to the 257 AI Improved (1:7.5 twist) for the newer heavier bullets. Would go with another Benchmark barrel at 24". Hope to use the Sierra 131 gr TGK.

I bought a Browning X-Bolt 2 shortly after they came out and it's been an awesome rifle. I had an A-Bolt growing up, as well as my dad and we're both Browning fans. I never had a Gen 1 X-Bolt so I can't compare the original to the Gen 2.

I bought the SPR version in 7mm PRC and run it with a Zeiss V4 and a TBAC Ultra 7 suppressor. It's handy and accurate and has accounted for a couple of deer already. It shoots the 168gr ABLR's over LRT powder at 2900 fps in the 20" barrel into roughly an inch at 100 yards. I honestly have done little load development but plan to and with different bullets in the future. It's a very solid and good looking rifle IMO. I don't hesitate to recommend them or Tikka's in this price range. I'm trying to resist but the X-Bolt 2 White Gold Medallion is a handsome rifle!

My first Browning was an A Bolt Composite Stalker in 280 Rem back in 1992.
It shot great and I loaded my first handloads for it with 162 gr Hdy BTSPs, with a max charge of IMR4350 IIRC. It would put 5 into an inch at 100 yards.
I took a couple of mule deer with it back then, one in BC and one in Saskatchewan.

I got my first Browning in 1989. It was a 7 mag. Killed a pile of deer with it. It loved IMR 4350 and 140 Partitions.

I bought my next one in 1994 when they came out with the A-Bolt 2 in 280 Rem. I still have this rifle and always will. It's my favorite ! It's not picky with what you feed it but it really likes IMR 4831 and just about any Hornady bullet along with 150 gr NBT's.

As far as the X-Bolt, I will probably get one eventually but as of yet all I have done is drool on the couple I have handled. lol

If I hadn't have been young and foolish...and in need of money while moving to the big city...I would have liked to keep that 280.
I liked the A Bolts ability to reload the magazine without taking it out of the rifle.
I think the DM that clipped into the floor plate made for a secure mag that could not drop out of the rifle, was an under-appreciated feature.
