150 E-Tip

Rifle was zeroed for 300 off my home range & that's the shot that presented itself so was confident when I pulled the trigger. Had a good rest and heard the thump of a hit directly after the rifle shot. He staggered around for a bit & eventually went down & started kicking.

We were able to drive right up & field dress him & then into the pick up. Good hunting all around.

Was an Eastern Montana 007-21 tag hunt. Out of Glendive MT

Man they hit hard. I'll tell you that much. After seeing what it did to that stocky pronghorn I'd have no problem running one into a big bull elk.
My son's first elk was a nice large cow broadside at 350 yards. One shot behind the right shoulder and it exited the left shoulder right in the middle of the shoulder. She staggered about 20 yards and dropped. 6mm Remington 90 gr. E-tip !!
