I've been hunting all week hoping one of my target bucks would show up but they didn't cooperate. This morning I had lots of deer movement, including 4 bucks but they just weren't big enough. At almost 9 AM, a decent doe and her doe fawn and button buck appeared. As I was contemplating shooting the doe, a big old doe came out that I'm familiar with. I've seen her in person before and had trail cam pics of her. She was almost gray looking & a couple inches taller than any doe I've seen her with. Last time she wouldn't provide me with a clean shot. This AM, I finally got a good quartering to shot and sent a 250gr XTP into her shoulder at 1580 fps from the Freedom Arms revolver. She dropped at the shot and barely moved. She weighed out at 115 lbs and will provide me with a lot of good meals!
