    What is your dream Hunt?

Sweet marco polo. Stone sheep in the Yukon or Marco in Tajikistan. I won't ever spring for either, to much money.

    270 Accubond?

Back when they first came out. I zapped a small bear at about 10 yards with the 140 Accubonds out of my 270 Weatherby Mag at 3250 fps. I was happy with the results. It was a broadside double lung shot and the bear just rolled down the hill dead. Haven't hunted with that rifle much since then...

So tell me why I need to load the 168gr BT over the 165

The competition and tac shooters can swap bullets easier. I like the concept, good on Nosler.

    270Wby loads that work

Depending on your rifle's throat you could work from 65-69 grains. I load mine to about 3250fps. [/img]

    2006-07 Hunting pics

I posted these earlier on a different post. Pop's asked me to post them here. Here are some pictures of last weeks deer camp in the Southern Oregon Cascades. This is the type of county we hunt in. It's big county. Here is the buck I thumped. 280 Remington CDL, launching a 150 Nosler...

    Black Bear Hunting

I'd load a 130 grain partition with a hot load of h4831sc and go bonk a yogi. If you like a heavier bullet go for it. Accubond or partition, it wont matter.

    Oregon Blacktail camp

Here are some pictures of last weeks deer camp in the Southern Oregon Cascades. This is the type of county we hunt in. It's big county. Here is the buck I thumped. 280 Remington CDL, launching a 150 Nosler Partition with 58 grains of H4831sc at about 2950 fps. The shot was probably about 75...

Advantages over a Winchester 300 magnum vs the 300 WSM?

Loaded to equal pressure the 300 Win will always out preform, regardless of bullet wieght. The lighter wieght of the short mag tend to make them kick just as much as the big round. Reality is it doesn't matter. Get the one you want, not the one anyone else wants you to get. Both rounds are...

    Where are YOU from?

In the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon, just outside of Medford. Used to be Gods Country, now it's turning into Northern California.

    .280Rem and 140 Accubond

WPH, My 280 is a CDL also. It has quickly become my go to rifle.

    .280Rem and 140 Accubond

58 grains of Hunter, ww brass, wlr and 140 accubond. 2960 with a very small spread over my crony.

.300 win. mag. Pros & Cons

The Sendero will be a shooter. At the range last week a couple guys had matching senderos in 3win mag. They where pulling off some very nice groups with 180 grain ballistic tips and a stiff load of h4831. I have a CDL in 3Win mag, and really like it. A pound lighter than the Sendero, if you...

    Accubonds At Close Distance

A couple months ago I shalacked a small cinnamin bear at about 10-15 FEET with my 270 Weatherby and the 140 grain Accubond. Yes it was a broadside shot with complete penetration. Lungs where a soup sandwich and the shoulders where not bloodshot. I was happy with the performance. Ballistic...

130 gr accubond for the 270

I have a beat up M77Mk11 270 win that shot a .358 three shot group last week with the 130 grain BT. It also shoots 130 partitions consistantly between 3/4 and a MOA, when I hunt with that rifle the partition gets the nod. A 130 Accubond would be a nice thing that I would use. Of course...

Need load data for 180 gr. AccuBond for .300 WM

The other powder to try is h4831/h4831sc, with the sweet spot around 74-75 grains. My CDL actually does better with the h4831 than the R22, plus if temperature sensitivity matters to you the h4831 has the edge on that as well. But every rifle is different.

    6.5 accubonds

140 grain would be sweet, but probably to long for the 1-9 twist shooters. I really like the Accubond and am starting to change loads to them.

Nosler 6.5 mm 125 gr Partition. What is it's application?

I had the my 260 shilen barrel chambered to fit 125 gr partitions at 2.90 and it was a great decision. I read you post at 24hr and I just have not had the same experience with that bullet. Assuming your friend is a super shot that never ever blows a shot, maybe hit hit a branch mid flight and...

    Picture in a Scope

I don't remember the pixel, it didn't seem the sharpest. I think John Barness wrote the article, and I'm guessing you have his home number. It looks like it would be a lot of fun, but if you got one remember that you couldn't make any excusses about the scope being off (you'ld have a...
