Nosler light for caliber bullet wall thickness

Here is a 80# doe my nephew shot through both shoulders @ 30yds with my .280 using the 120gr BT under a heavy dose of RL19. The little 120gr BT held up pretty good, nice exit hole and great 25yd blood trail. [/img]

    257 Bee Vanguard

POP, There is a article in the new Guns and Ammo mag. about the .257 Vanguard and the author lost only 48fps using factory fodder in a 24" bbl vs a 26". I am getting right at 3600fps out of my Sub MOA Vanguard with 100gr TSX and RL22. Here is the article...

    .280 120gr Ballistic Tip loads

IMR 4831 and RL-19 has worked well in my rifle using 139gr SST's both of these loads shoot under MOA and the 4831 shot .591". After seeing some results of the 120's on another forum I decided to give them try. I am not a big BT fan for big game but the 120's are suppose to be pretty tough since...

    Loc-tite delima......

Remington _25_06 If you try what I posted earlier you will only be heating the screws by placing the wrench on them transferring the heat from the wrench to them, thus warming up the loctite and releasing it. I would at least try it. Like I said earlier all your out is a small hex wrench. Good...

    130gr TTSX out of a .308

Anyone shoot 130gr TTSX out of their .308? If so any load info would be appreciated. Does Nosler intend on making any light for caliber AB's or E-Tips in .308?

Powders for .308 using 125-150gr bullets?

Never said anything about compressed loads!

    Loc-tite delima......

A gunsmith friend told me how he fixes these problems with Loctite. He gets the wrench used for the screws and heats it up until its red on the end then he places it on the screws and holds for a while after two or three times he takes another wrench and tries to turn it, if it doesn't turn he...

Powders for .308 using 125-150gr bullets?

What are some of you guys best loads with 125-150gr bullets. I have RL15 and W748? The Nosler book has 748 as the best when shooting 125gr BT's but doesn't list RL15. However, I have seen alot of reports of RL15 being the best all around in the .308 for most bullet weights.

Can I make 257 wby brass from 7 RM??

Yes you can but I think the neck will be .040"shorter than regular .257 brass. I have a friend that is loading them and can tell no difference in his loads.

    Vanguard Sub Moa Problem

I took my Vanguard to my gunsmith and when he started drilling the hole out came this glue or rosin on his bit. In fact he looked at it before he started and thought it was not drilled all the way through as well. Thankfully the gun had been drilled and tapped all the way but some type of glue...

    Weatherby Mark V 257wm Accumark

Don't worry about the 24" Vanguard tube. A friend of mine is shooting 110 Accubonds @ 3,480 fps, 3/4" groups at 200yds and no signs of pressure. Layne Simpson wrote a great article in Shooting Times on the .257, he was getting very close to the same velocities out of a 24" Vanguard as he was his...
