    223 Bullet/Twist??

I had a Bushmaster Varminter 1:9 twist and now have a Predator in 1:8 twist and they both shot extremely well with Varget and 55 gr. Ballistic Tips. I recently shot 4 consecutive 3 shot groups with the Predator using this load and the average for the 4 groups was in the .3's. So yeah, I'd...

Accubond 140's in the .270 Winchester

I've been using H4350 and 150 BT's in my A-Bolt for years now hunting MO whitetail deer but I'm looking for an off season project with the 140 Accubonds. Right now, I'm considering using Nosler Custom brass, 140 Accubonds and probably H4831SC. If you were to load this combo or if you've had...

    .270 Coyote Load

nc hunter, I have shot coyotes using a .270 Win. using my whitetail deer load which consists of a 150 gr. Ballistic Tip. It'll knock 'em down like a freight train hit them and because the bullet is not a "varmint" bullet, it doesn't tear them up as bad as a lot of the lighter weight bullets...

Have you ever seen this when bullet seating?

Anybody ever get a ring around the ogive of a bullet when seating on a nearly full case of powder. My Redding .223 die is doing this, but the powder load is a nearly compressed load. Just wondering if the extra resistance of the full case of powder is enough to make a ring on the jacket of the...

Book loads for .223 Rem. using Benchmark & 50 gr.BT's

Hey thanks for the info guys! I'm gonna try the Benchmark and the 50 gr. BT's in my Bushmaster Varminter. I'll run some of them through my chrono and I'll see what the velocity difference is between the Varget and the Benchmark. I'm hoping for the best of both worlds, a little more velocity...

Book loads for .223 Rem. using Benchmark & 50 gr.BT's

Joe, are you sure about that? I was under the impression from others that I can get MORE velocity out of Benchmark in comparison to Varget. I've been using Varget for years, great powder and the accuracy is good but the velocity is on the low side in comparison to other powders.

Book loads for .223 Rem. using Benchmark & 50 gr.BT's

I've got a couple Nosler manuals #3 and #4, I need to update when the new one comes out! I'm thinking about loading some .223 Rem. using Benchmark powder and the 50 gr. ballistic tips. Can someone give me the Nosler book loads using these components? Thanks!

.223 Remington, Varget, & 50-55 gr. Ballistic Tips

Gentlemen, I've got a 1-9 twist barrel on my Varminter AR. I also have a bunch of Varget and 50/55 gr. BT's left over from a previous rifle. If you had to pick a starting load for this gun using these components with the main objective being accuracy, what would you load first?

    Primers?

I have used CCI primers for all my reloading. Never had a problem with them!

    Which reloading dies to buy?

Redding dies are the only ones I use. They are very well made. I think you would be very happy with them!
