I tried 65grs VV N550 with CCI250 primers col 3.33" From 580mm Sako barrel it gave 2608fps and group was about 0.5" from 75 meters. I think I'll try to get some more velocity out of it :) Some guys here squeezed 2770fps from a Browning BAR with N540 and CCI250 primers :shock:

Hello. Here in Finland about 70-80% of moose hunters use 308win. loaded with 180gr bullets. It does the job but you have to know how to shoot :) I think that Sako's factory loads gives 180gr bullets velocityy around 2600fps.

Done some testing with the Weatherby mark V .300Wby 165AB and 80,7gr N160 load gave around 3160fps Rem 700 with supressor .243win 95gr BT gave 3035fps with 44gr of N160(Accuracy was great) I was wondering those QL-calculation above... The max, seems to be quite mild compared to the load data...

I had sub moa load with 44gr Vihtavuori N160, CCI200 and 95BT's though my rem 700 usually seems to like faster powders like N140 or N150. Two days ago i tried Hornadys 80gr fmj with 38gr of N140, CCI200 col 2,65 and they shot about 0,5" groups from 120 meters.

It is very handy, fill youre barrel with foam and wait about 15min. and then clean with patches long as they are dirty and after that use some oil. The foam turns blue if there was copper in the barrel. i tried the foam about 3 or 4 years ago and been using it ever since :)

Is there any possibility that nosler would make an 95gr Ab for .243? I ask because here in Finland the minimum bullet weight for whitetails is 6grams=92,6gr

I use CCI250 in my .300Wby. i'm satisfied with them. I remember reading somewhere that CCI's gives higher pressure then the Federal and others.

I have only shot one adult moose with accubond and i like the result, the moose took only few steps back an dropped the bullet entered in front of left leg and came out behind the right shoulder plate. Quick and clean kill i would say, you can see the exit wound from the picture. These days...
