    New Sierra bullets

What is everyone's twist rate in their 6mm? Guessing the majority is 10.

    New Sierra bullets

Looks like they will not fully stabilize out of my 240 BackCountry.

    Well now

I would take the 6.5, no regrets. It will do anything the 243 is doing, only better and at longer distances (if that is something you practice and are comfortable doing).

    QL Request

I have the 70 RDF moving 2870 right now but wanted something for coyotes as well. I have had the RDF blow up, causing superficial damage to a few jacks and don't feel comfortable shooting them at a dog. A few others have passed clean through. The only other bullets I have on hand, is the Hdy...

The proof will come soon enough, but I would tend to believe Sierra.

When you get them, post how long they are.

    New Sierra bullets

I want to try the 6mm version in my 240 but I can all but guarantee that I don't have the twist to take full advantage of that BC.

43.0 grains of RL17 gave me 2912 ft/s and 3/4" (3 shot) at 100 yards with the 129 48.0 grain of RL26 produced 2810 ft/s and 5/8" (3 shot) at 100 yards with the 142 No signs of pressure. Great for a light rifle that has a barrel profile the size of my pinky finger.

That's where I started so I'll see how it goes. I decided to give up on that powder with the 129gr bullet, as I can't get enough powder in the case to make it worthwhile.

    QL Request

Having never used QL before, and assuming many of you have, where is the best place to start (since there is really no published data for this powder, with the exception of the Berger 135gr)? Is it like regular data where you begin by reducing 10% and work up from there? In general, do the...

Load help, 70 gr RDF in a .223

I did pretty well with Benchmark. Accuracy was certainly there and speed was acceptable.

    204 Plinker?

I just picked up a Howa 1500 Kuiu in 204 Ruger at Sportsmans for $379. The cerakote looks nice, trigger breaks at 3lbs and it shoots great!
